People keep asking me if I am writing another book. For the past six months I have been telling everyone, yes, I am working on a book of essays, a la David Sedaris and Laurie Nataro. I was so excited about it and had my first story almost finished. But the truth is, I have so much on my plate this year with matchmaking and other projects that I knew trying to finish a whole book probably was not going to happen any time soon. But I was in love with the first story (about a particular night as a waitress years ago) and wanted to get it out there. I decided to publish it on its own. I hadn’t realized that there are a ton of short stories on kindle and many doing very well!
I quickly polished the story and hired a graphic artist to do the cover (which I LOVE) and voila! Here it is…. available on kindle for 99 cents.
I have many more stories that I am eager to share, so I will be publishing them throughout the year as time permits.

I can’t wait to read it! Short stories are a great option for authors, IMO, and fun for readers.
