Happy holiday’s everybody. I love sharing great deals and cool stuff. I am like Oprah, except without the millions. I thought that I would share some of my favorite things with my favorite people… you all!!
I am up in cold and rainy Seattle visiting friends and family. I am having a great time. We just got back from Watson’s Greenhouse & Nursery in Puyallup, Wa. In addition to amazing Christmas decorations, gift, plants and a cafe, they have real live reindeer!
Me & Santa’s Reindeer.
For those of you who love to snuggle up with a good book, my friend Anjali Banerjee’s latest novel, Enchanting Lily is a great pick.
Into the quaint town of Fairport on Shelter Island comes Lily Byrne, a young widow who is not so much running from the old but rather edging toward something new and indefinable. Here in the peaceful Pacific Northwest, newly engaged in her vintage clothing boutique, she hides from the world. But Lily knows that solitude can’t sustain her forever. Somehow, somewhere, something’s got to give. It does, with the unexpected arrival of an exuberant little cat.
As Lily searches for the cat’s true home, she embarks on a journey just as unpredictable—one of healing and renewal that opens up a whole new world in this small island community she now calls home. Saved by the hidden graces of others, she even allows herself to fall in love again. But how much of this is serendipity? How much is destiny? As Lily starts looking at herself, and her life, in an enlightening new way, she can’t help but also wonder, how long can such good fortune last?
If your blog is looking blah, have a blog makeover by Katie of Katherine’s Corner. She is a wizard with creating blogs from scratch to updating pages or creating new logos. I am thrilled with mine!
I just love Rod Stewart’s Christmas CD. Grammy Award®-winning, two-time Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Rod Stewart proudly releases his first Christmas album of his career, MERRY CHRISTMAS, BABY. Award-winning producer and songwriter David Foster serves as producer and arranger of the album.
Do you have a friend that always says, “I sure would like to speak French, or gosh, I really need to brush up on my Spanish. Well, give them the gift of Yabla. That’s how I keep my francais fluent. Only Yabla language immersion sites give you authentic television, music videos, drama, interviews, travel, and Yabla exclusive shoots from throughout the world. Our unique player technology is designed with language learners in mind: Slow Play, Integrated Dictionaries, Listening Game, Dual Language Subtitles, and more.
If your dogs are barking after all of that Christmas shopping. stop off at Happy Feet in Encino. For only 30 bucks an hour, you can’t go wrong.
Everyone in the San Fernando Valley is talking about Happy Feet, a Chinese foot massage salon. We are located on Ventura Boulevard, just east of White Oak in Encino and across from Israeli Super Sal market. Happy Feet has a Spa like set up, there is a large water fountain in the middle of our salon with twelve comfy reclining chairs that circle the fountain. Dimmed wall scones and traditional Chinese music add to its’ ambiance. as a peaceful and serene sanctuary.
If anyone has unmanageable, fizzy hair like I did, and you live in So Cal.. then you simply must go see Susan at Honey Hair Studio in Newport Beach. I usually wore my hair in a scarf or under a hat, until Susan gave me a non-toxic smoothing treatment that lasts 3 months. My hair is now silky smooth and I wake up with gorgeous hair! Tell her I sent you.
